Contests and Stuff

2022 Women’s Personal Essay Contest Next Steps

I want to give a big shout-out to all the wonderful writers who submitted essays to my second annual Women’s Personal Essay Contest.

The contest is now closed for submissions.

Congratulations to all our entrants for pushing their comfort zone! They should all know that their participation is valued and very much appreciated.

I am so pleased that we had a larger turnout than last year and I will continue to post a new prompt for a new contest every February 1st.

As a refresher, here is the prompt for this year’s contest

PROMPT  — What will your epitaph be? And why is it perfect for you? How does it reflect your life and how you lived it?

NoteNext Step – we have not read through the essays after they were submitted – we have just made sure that each entrant has subscribed to the blog and that the word count is correct and under 600 words and we could identify an Epitaph.

I will take each essay and drop it into another document with a number attached. Those are the essays we will read through as we try to make this as unbiased as possible on our end and to decide on the 5 finalists.
